A Note of Hope. Sumi is featured in an upcoming full-length documentary from Citygate Films on the youngest victims of HIV/AIDS in Africa. She tours as part of a sextet featuring her musical compadre of two decades, jazz violinist John Blake, Jr.  A Note of Hope is set for wide release in 2011.

Composing film score for Queen of the Mountain. This is Sumi’s second score for director Martha Lubell and editor Sharon Mullally. The film is on the life and work of Theresa Goell, an archeologist whose life work was on Nimra Dagh, an important site in Turkey.

Commission from St. Gregory's Church, "Woodstock Cycle Concerts". Original composition telling a sacred story in a dramatic context. The performance will take place October 4 at 7pm, and on October 5 at 3pm, at St. Gregory's Church, Rt. 212 in Woodstock, NY.
